I didn’t always know how important photographs really were—at least not in the way I do now.
When my dad passed away in 2024, everything shifted. In the haze of grief, I found myself desperately searching for recent photos—something, anything—that captured our relationship, our connection, the way we laughed together. What I found instead were grainy selfies from holidays and blurry snapshots from random moments. The last truly nice photo we had together was from 2018.
The grief of losing him was heavy. But the heartbreak of realizing I didn’t have a single recent image that told our story? That was devastating.
Just two months later, our daughter Charlotte was born—and so began another journey I wasn’t quite prepared for: postpartum depression. It was dark and isolating, and in those early weeks, I often felt lost in a sea of diapers, sleepless nights, and self-doubt.
But slowly, gently, I started to pick up my camera again.
What began as a way to feel grounded turned into something healing. Photographing Charlotte, capturing the softness in her little features, the quiet connection between her and my husband, the fleeting moments that felt like light in the fog—it reminded me why I had fallen in love with photography in the first place.
Rebel and Lace isn’t just a photography business. It’s a living, breathing extension of my heart.
I photograph because I know what it feels like to long for a photo that simply doesn’t exist.
I photograph because I believe your story—your love, your motherhood, your beauty—deserves to be seen.
And I photograph because I want to help you hold onto the moments that matter, before they slip away.
My style is gentle, emotive, and timeless. I lean into natural light, soft textures, and neutral tones because they let your love take center stage. Whether we’re documenting your baby bump, your newborn’s first days, a quiet family moment, or your own bold, beautiful self—I’m here to capture what’s real.
I don’t believe in stiff poses or forced smiles. I believe in storytelling. In tiny, tender gestures. In the in-between moments that say everything without a single word.
The name came from a place of duality—because I believe women, mothers, families are never just one thing. We are soft and strong. Tender and tenacious. There is beauty in the lace, and fire in the rebel spirit.
I wanted my work to reflect that. A space where you can show up fully as you are—no apologies, no expectations—just grace, emotion, and authenticity.
If you’ve found your way to Rebel and Lace, chances are you’re in a season worth remembering. Maybe you’re growing life, raising babies, reclaiming your confidence, or simply holding on tight to the people you love most.
Wherever you are, I want you to know this: your story matters. And I would be honored to help you tell it through images that will stand the test of time.
Let’s make something beautiful together.
